Ok so I guess I should give you a little bit of background info before I ask this question. Right now I'm a couple months short of the one year mark with my comic. Up until this point my primary focus has been to make the comic as strong as I can, to improve both my writing and art as well as the tech that goes on behind the scenes when you create your own website. So far any promotion for the site as been simple word of mouth, (generally from my mouth to anyone who would listen) and I'm ready to start branching out some. I will start featuring the basics, some project wonderful ads as well as a banner from google adsense (just to get the extra google spiders).

However, the other thing I'm about to launch is a link share page on the site. I know it's pretty common to have a link share with fellow webcomics to try and build the community and promte your work on the backs of other comic creators fanbase. I have no problem doing this but my question is this, how much do you think it actually works? I mean, do you think it actually helps build your fanbase? Does it even attribute to an increase in hits, even if just for a day or so?

I'm curious to hear about the results that some of you that have featured these link shares on your site have had so far. Thanks!
