Samuel Jackson Spills Avengers, Thor And Captain America Details On TV
Seeing as Rich and I are “trapped” in the UK and can’t see Jimmy Kimmel live with our own two eyes, we’re having to take the Little Bleeders’ word on some things here. Luckily, though, you seem to be a trustworthy bunch.
So, according to you guys, the episode of Jimmy Kimmel live that went out in the US sometime during the last couple of hours (depending on your time zone, it would seem) featured Samuel L. Jackson as one of Kimmel’s guests. Amongst the conversation topics was The Avengers, and Jackson let slip some most intriguing details.
Firstly, he said that today, he will be screen testing with a number of actresses up for the role of his “female sidekick”. We’ve known a long time now that there’s another role for a woman to be cast – the one that Demi Lovato couldn’t have, if you recall – but we didn’t know anything about what role this would be. Jackson thinks there are about five actresses trying out.
Reasonable guesses on who the character will be would now include Carol Danvers, Maria Hill or Sharon Carter, though I’d strongly suspect the latter for no good reason other than a weird bias of my own.
Jackson also revealed that he’s got a couple of days filming coming up to shoot additional scenes for Thor and Captain America, therefore giving Nick Fury a cameo in each. Will these button scenes for after the end credits? Most likely, though they could still be extra moments to be cut into the body of the film.
We’re also told that Jackson “masturbated” a golf club and threw it’s imaginary ejaculate into the audience during the show, just as they were cutting to commercials. Erm. Yeah.
As I said: we just have to take your word on some of this stuff.
